Jubaea chilensis, commonly known as the Chilean Wine Palm, is one of the most impressive and long-lived palms in cultivation. Known for its massive, smooth trunk and wide crown of arching, blue-green fronds, it is a premium ornamental species used in high-end landscapes, estates, and botanical collections. This palm is slow growing but exceptionally hardy and drought tolerant once established, making it a valuable species for specialized nurseries and long-term landscape projects.

These seeds were collected and processed at our nursery in Elfin Forest, California and are offered in bulk for professional growers seeking high-quality propagation material of this rare and highly desirable palm.

Cultivation and Use
The Chilean Wine Palm is primarily used in premium and large-scale landscape installations due to its monumental size and striking architectural form. Its rarity and longevity make it a specialty crop with strong value for long-term nursery production.

Germination Notes for Growers
Preparation: Seeds benefit from a 48-hour soak in warm water.
Sowing: Plant seeds 1–1.5 inches (2.5–4 cm) deep in a coarse, well-draining palm mix.
Optimum Temperature: 85–95°F (29–35°C); warm, stable heat is important.
Germination Period: 2–6 months; some seeds may take longer due to natural dormancy.
Notes: Maintain consistent warmth and moderate moisture. Bottom heat significantly improves germination. Patience is essential due to the slow germination and growth rate.
