Germination Notes for Growers
Preparation: Remove any remaining fruit pulp and soak seeds in warm water for 24–48 hours.
Sowing: Plant seeds horizontally about 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep in a coarse, well-draining palm or cactus mix.
Optimum Temperature: 85–95°F (29–35°C), as palms germinate best under high, stable heat.
Germination Period: 8–16 weeks, although some seeds may take longer.
Notes: Maintain warm, evenly moist conditions. Bottom heat significantly improves germination rates. Avoid overwatering to prevent rot.
